How to change the GravityZone MongoDB password

MongoDB password

When first installing the database role in the initial setup of the GravityZone appliance, you will be prompted to setup a MongoDB password.

If the MongoDB is already installed, we recommend changing the password as restricting access to critical servers like Bitdefender GravityZone Database is a best practice for preventing attacks.

How to change the MongoDB password

In order to change the database password, the below steps need to be followed:

1. Log into the appliance CLI, using the bdadmin credentials set;

2. Go to Advanced Settings;

3. Go to Set new Database Password;

4. Follow the password requirements in order to setup the new password (must be between 6 and 32 characters in length, including at least one uppercase, one lowercase, one digit and one special character);

5. Press OK.
